NHTSA To Upgrade Kia Sorrento Investigation

Following more than 90 complaints from owners of Kia Sorento SUV’s that have expressed concerns over imploding sunroof glass, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has upgraded it’s existing investigation onto the issue.

According to sources, there have been reports of 18 injuries from the defective sunroof’s, with more than 65,000 Kia Sorento vehicles currently being investigated for a variety of engineering and quality issues.

If the required NHTSA engineering analysis uncovers any unusual results, it is part of a multiple-step process that may lead to an recall being issued.
