Philen is being recognized for her dedication, leadership and excellence in environmental and personal injury law.
Philen attributes her success to the love, support and encouragement from her family, her own internal drive and ambitions, and the experiences she has had working in the legal field.
In 2010, Philen joined Simien & Simien as “of counsel” and currently works out of the law firm’s newest location in New Iberia, Louisiana.
In 2007, Philen graduated with her J.D. from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge. During her time at the law center, she made Law Review and graduated magna cum laude. She is a member of the Louisiana Association of Justice, The National Trial Lawyers Environmental Trial Lawyers Association and the National Women Trial Lawyers Association.
For the past two years, Philen has been named as one of the “Top Lawyers in Louisiana” for highest ethical standards and professional excellence.
